the demo pulls posts about a product from x, with hacker news, reddit, and substack as opt-in sources — from recorded fixtures or live scrapers run on a backend.

theme grouping

the report view groups differently worded posts into a handful of themes, keeping each quote linked to the post it came from.

sentiment over time

not built yet. the fourteen-day curves in the snapshot above are sample data showing the intended view.

mentions and reach

grouped themes show mention count, reach, channels, and first-seen date, so a stray grumble reads differently from a repeated one.

code locations

not built yet. the file and line references in the snapshot are sample data; the demo marks every theme as unmapped.

draft issues to review

each theme carries a draft issue with a title, labels, and the user's own words, ready to copy. fieldnotes does not create github issues.

opinions about a product often surface on x first, so the demo starts there and adds other sources alongside it.

tracking over time — planned

the goal is to follow themes across weeks. today the demo runs one sweep at a time.

the aim is to point themes at likely code with a long-context model. repo mapping isn't implemented yet.
